History and the Saint
Saint Prisca, virgin and martyr. He was born in Rome, into an illustrious family, during the government of the Emperor Claudius. Taken before the judge for her condition as a Christian when she was only 13 years old, she is induced to renounce her faith to save her life, but Prisca remains true to her convictions, is imprisoned and later beheaded.
His Saint is celebrated on January 18.
